Automated Business Designs Acclaims their 4th Chicago’s Best and Brightest Companies to Work For® Award

Staffing and recruiting software provider wins distinguished company culture award for 4th consecutive year.
CHICAGO, Illinois– Automated Business Designs (ABD), developers of Ultra-Staff staffing and recruiting software, was named one of Chicago’s Best and Brightest Companies to Work For® in 2019. This prestigious honor is now the fourth time that ABD has been recognized by Chicago’s Best and Brightest program.
The Best and Brightest Companies to Work For® competition is presented by the National Association for Business Resources and honors companies with exceptional human resource practices and employee enrichment. The program seeks to recognize innovative, trend-setting organizations with a deep commitment to employee fulfillment.
Organizations must complete a rigorous application demonstrating their employees are provided with the resources and support for both professional and personal success. Additionally, organizations are judged by confidential employee responses. Those overwhelmingly positive responses helped ABD receive this distinguished recognition.
“It is a huge honor to receive this award for our fourth straight year. Our employees are exceptional and their impactful contributions allow ABD to stay at the forefront of the industry,” said Terri Roeslmeier, President and Chief Executive Officer of ABD. “We want to do everything we can so that our employees are happy, fulfilled, and constantly growing both professionally and personally.”
ABD’s nomination included details of their comprehensive benefits package, exceptional health and wellness program, and innovative best practices. A best practice that is new to the company this year is “Mornings with Molly.” The Vice President of Systems Engineering took it upon herself to organize a weekly educational training session, inviting all team members to take a deep dive into the different products ABD offers. “Mornings with Molly” continues to not only help cross train all departments in the company, but also opens up an environment to share best practices and ideas for product enhancements.
The nomination also demonstrated community initiatives and a vibrant company culture. ABD
employees are actively involved with the Illinois Search and Staffing Association (ISSA), a non-profit organization that keeps the local staffing community aware of industry standards, trends, and local laws. ABD team members help plan events and create promotional materials throughout the year. Terri Roeslmeier, President and Chief Executive Officer of ABD, sits on the board.
Birthday and holiday celebrations are also a huge part of ABD’s culture. Every employee customizes their own birthday cake from a local bakery and the ABD team gathers in the kitchen to sing the morning of their birthday. The company also makes it a point to celebrate everyone’s diverse culture through holiday celebrations and parties throughout the year, including a Cinco de Mayo party!

Recognizing employee achievements whether big or small is also important for the leadership team. Esteemed awards are given out to employees at ABD’s client meeting. Additionally, when a new sale is made or an employee receives accolades from a client, an e-mail is sent to the company in recognition of the accomplishment. For large sales, the ABD team celebrates with a champagne toast!
